Daddy Yankee is gearing up for a blowout party in Puerto Rico as 2025 comes to an end. The reggaeton legend will hit the stage on Dec. 31 for a special performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve performance. Roselyn Sánchez will host from Puerto Rico.

Daddy Yankee is the latest artist to join the extensive list of performers scheduled to ring in 2026 on the program, which will air live from multiple cities. Ryan Seacrest and Rita Ora will host in New York with appearances from Diana Ross, Ciara, Maren Morris, and more. Over in Chicago, Chance the Rapper will host and perform with a special appearance from Jamila Woods.

Rob Gronkowski and Julianne Hough are on duty for Las Vegas. The West Coast lineup boasts Mariah Carey, Demi Lovato, Zara Larsson, the All-American Rejects, BigXthaPlug, 50 Cent, Goo Goo Dolls, 6lack, Jessie Murph, and more. It also features the artists behind some of the most viral trends of the year including 4 Non Blondes, Jess Glynne, and KPop Demon Hunters‘ EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI as HUNTR/X.

On top of all that, Chappell Roan will hold down Kansas City, while Post Malone is scheduled to take the stage in Nashville.

Back in 2022, Daddy Yankee announced his retirement. “I don’t have any plans to go back,” he told Rolling Stone at the time. His plans changed. Earlier this year, Daddy Yankee released his eighth studio album Lamento en Baile. “Having a life of success is different from having a life of purpose,” he told Billboard. “Before, my interest was transforming the industry [through music], and that purpose had to do more with business and money, influence, success. Now my purpose is to transform lives with that same instrument. They’re very different purposes.”
