2 Jan – BTS finally has a date for the long-awaited comeback.
Sharing the good news on 1 January 2026, BIGHIT Music revealed that the group will return with a new album on 20 March, the first album in three years since “Proof” in June 2022.
In addition, they also shared that the group will begin their large-scale world tour this year following the release of the album.
More details about the release and the tour will be announced later.
The members also sent handwritten notes to their fanbase ARMY
Back on 31 December 2025, the group went live on Weverse, and expressed their wish to make a safe comeback in 2026.

It is noted that BTS has been on hiatus as a group since 2023 while its members enlisted in the Korean military. All seven members have now completed their service, with Suga being the last one discharged on 21 June 2025.
