Is Garth Brooks getting back on the road?
It’s been quite some time since the “Callin’ Baton Rouge” singer has toured across the country. The soon to be 64-year-old country star last brought his music to the masses with his Stadium Tour, which played its final show in the fall of 2022. Garth’s Las Vegas residency – Garth Brooks/Plus ONE – followed after that, but even that wrapped in July of 2024.
All that to say that it certainly seems like it would be time for the aging artist to return to touring, and from the sound of this latest statement from Brooks, it appears that might be the case.
In case you didn’t know, Garth Brooks mainly breaks news about himself or anything that he’s doing through his official website – garthbrooks.com. The country music star evidently likes to control the narrative, and Brooks has been doing that through posts on the “News” tab of his personal website.
The latest story shared through the site was titled “New Year, New Music, New Tour. It’s All On The Table In 2026!” And it opens with the cheesy line of “Some artists make resolutions. Garth Brooks makes moves.” In other words, all signs are pointing towards Brooks releasing some new music, and going on tour, in the coming year.
A quote that Garth Brooks provided for garthbrooks.com read as follows:
“I’m an artist, I HAVE to make music. And I’m an entertainer, so I HAVE to take the music to the people…”

But here’s the real meat of the conversation:
“‘My bride is touring through the first half of the year. Then we will see what may be waiting for us in the second half.’ With new music, new dates, and endless possibilities ahead, 2026 is already warming up — and nothing’s off the table.”
If I’m reading that all right, a Garth Brooks tour in late 2026 seems very likely.
It’s nice of the country music legend to wait until his wife, Trisha Yearwood, is wrapped up with her tour before he gets started with his own. And if he does announce a 2026 tour, it’ll be on top of some already scheduled dates that he has on the schedule for the year.
As of right now, Garth Brooks is set to play at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 16 and 17 at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. A week or so after that, Brooks will be headlining over in London, England at Hyde Park (with Ashley McBryde and Zac Brown Band acting as support) on June 27. So he’s already got a busy June on the docket, and it might make sense to roll right into a tour following those dates.
To be clear, nothing has officially been scheduled or announced just yet. That’s just a bit of speculation with the information that the “New Year, New Garth” announcement provided. But if the “Friends in Low Places” singer does get back out there, it’ll be the first time he’s toured in nearly four years.
Despite Garth keeping things old school as far as his music distribution goes, there’s still a large fanbase that’s likely chomping at the bit for an official tour announcement. I guess you could consider the story on garthbrooks.com an unofficial announcement… and I’d suppose that when the news does break, it’ll be broken by Garth himself.
