Days after Us Weekly reported on the couple’s New Year’s plans together, the singer shared a photo of herself kissing Trudeau on Instagram. “Holidaze,” she captioned the carousel of holiday snaps. She and Trudeau appear in the 19th photo, cuddling during golden hour on a trip.
Perry also included shots of herself with her daughter, Daisy, as they celebrated the festive season with her ex and Daisy’s father, Orlando Bloom.
The update seemingly confirms what a Us Weekly source said about the singer and former Canadian prime minister’s end-of-year plans.
“Justin and Katy will be spending New Year’s together,” the insider said on December 29. “They are very smitten and into each other.”
Nearly six months after their first Montreal date in July, Perry is “really inspired [by him and] impressed by his accomplishments. He’s a great match for her.”
On November 19, a source spoke to People about how good Trudeau has been for Perry, noting that they see each other “when they can.”
“[She] has a lot of fun with him,” the source continued. “It’s exactly what she needs right now.”
The month before, a source told People that Perry, who had announced her split with Bloom in early July, was pleasantly surprised by her new love story.
