So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

LANDOWNER – “RIVAL MALES”

Massachusetts band Landowner have announced a new album, Assumption, due February 27 via Exploding In Sound. The announcement says “comparisons could be made to The Fall, Lungfish, or Uranium Club,” and you can hear those vibes going through in new single “Rival Males.”

NOTHING – “TOOTHLESS COAL”

Nothing have shared the latest taste of A Short History of Decay, and this one’s a heavy shoegazer powered by an insistent drum beat. We’ve also got an exclusive vinyl variant of this album up for pre-order.

TRAUMA RAY – “HANNIBAL”

Shoegazy alt-rockers Trauma Ray have announced a new EP, Carnival, due February 20 via Dais. Here’s the heavy, hazy lead single “Hannibal.”

DRAAG – “NSPS”

More shoegaze: LA’s Draag are releasing their Miracle Drug EP next week (1/23 via Smoking Room) and today they’ve shared the fuzzed-out, pillowy new single “NSPS.”

JANA HORN – “COME ON”

Folk singer Jana Horn’s anticipated new self-titled album comes out this Friday and here’s another alluring taste of it.

ME REX – “ANGEL HAMMER”

UK indie band ME REX have a new project on the way (details TBA), and it’ll include their big-hearted, anthemic new single “Angel Hammer.”

GROWING STONE – “THE KEEP” (ACOUSTIC)

Growing Stone is releasing Ugly 2, a collection of acoustic versions of previously released songs, on January 30. Here’s the acoustic version of “The Keep” from that release.

CAPSIZE – “UNDER A HOLLOW SKY”

San Diego post-hardcore band Capsize are releasing the Under a Hollow Sky EP on February 6 via Roux & Ruin Records, and here’s the soaring, melodramatic new single “Under A Hollow Sky.”

PEACHES – “NO LUBE SO RUDE”

Peaches first album in 10 years, No Lube So Rude, is out in a month and here’s the title track which is just as in-your-face as you expect. As is the music video directed by Matt Lambert.

CONGRATULATIONS – “DR DOCTOR”

Brighton UK band congratulations will release their debut album, Join Hands, in February and here’s the very fun new single from it.

ORA COGAN – “HONEY”

Here’s the latest single from Ora Cogan’s upcoming album Hard Hearted Woman that’s out March 13 via Sacred Bones.

XIU XIU – “DANCING ON MY OWN” (ROBYN COVER)

Xiu Xiu puts a gothy spin on Robyn’s classic heartbreak banger — it’s on the upcoming covers album Xiu Mutha Fuckin’ Xiu: Vol. 1.

FCUKERS – “L.U.C.K.Y”

NYC dance duo Fcukers have finally announced their debut album, which is titled ‘Ö’ and will be out March 27 via Ninja Tune. The album was produced by Kenny Beats (Geese, IDLES), mixed by Tom Norris (Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, The Weeknd), and three songs feature additional production from Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs.

CHARLOTTE CORNFIELD – “HURTS LIKE HELL”

Charlotte Cornfield has announced Hurts Like Hell which is her sixth album and first for Merge Records. It’s out March 27. She produced the album herself and it features contributions from Feist, Buck Meek, Christian Lee Hutson, and Maia Friedman. Here’s the title track.

DEARY – “SEABIRD”

Here’s the first single from UK shoegaze trio deary’s debut album.

ROBBER ROBBER – “THE SOUND IT MADE”

Burlington, VT band Robber Robber have announced their second album, Two Wheels Move the Soul, which will be out April 3 via Fire Talk. There’s a little Prodigy in this new single.

JOSÉ GONZÁLEZ – “AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT”

Here’s the first single and title track from José González’s fifth album, Against The Dying Of The Light.

SUNN O))) – “GLORY BLACK”

sunn O))) have announced their first album since signing to Sub Pop last year. It’s self-titled and will be out April 3 via the label. This is the epic closing track.

ALEXIS TAYLOR (HOT CHIP) – “OUT OF PHASE”

Hot Chip‘s Alexis Taylor has announced a new solo album, Paris In The Spring, which will be out March 13 via Night Time Stories. The album features contributions from Air’s Nicolas Godin, The Avalanches, Étienne de Crécy, Lola Kirke, Pierre Rousseau (Paradis), Ewan Pearson, Elizabeth Wight (Pale Blue), Oli Bayston (Boxed In), and Scritti Politti’s Green Gartside. Kirke features on this first single.

POISON THE WELL – “THOROUGHBREDS”

Melodic metalcore pioneers Poison The Well have announced their first album in 17 years, Peace In Place, and they released lead single “Thoroughbreds.” Read more here and pre-order our exclusive “solid gold” vinyl variant.

CONVERGE – “WE WERE NEVER THE SAME”

We already heard the excellent opening track from Converge’s upcoming album Love Is Not Enough and today we get to hear the closing track. Read about it here.

TEMPLE OF VOID – “THE CRAWL”

Temple of Void have announced a new Kurt Ballou-recorded album, The Crawl, due 3/6 via Relapse, and guitarist Alex Awn says “the biggest shift for me on this record was not feeling like we had to fly the ‘death-doom banner’ as part of our identity.” Read more about the album and the newly-released title track here.

FILTH IS ETERNAL – “STAY MELTED”

Seattle punks Filth Is Eternal have announced a new LP, Impossible World, and lead single “Stay Melted” finds them getting a little more melodic than usual. Read about it here.

DEATHCRASH – “SOMERSAULTS”

London slowcore torch-carriers Deathcrash have announced their third album, Somersaults, along with the release of the title track. Read about it here.
