The Rookie spin-off, The Rookie: North, has added another leading cast member, and it’s a familiar face.
Chris Sullivan from This Is Us has joined the show after spending six years playing Toby Damon on the hit NBC program, and now fans will see him in a completely different light.
Per Deadline, Sullivan will play Sergeant Nix, who lands a big promotion to watch commander in the Pierce County Police Department in Washington. However, Nix struggles in the new job as his passion and heart remain on patrol and on the streets.

The pilot for The Rookie: North is slated to film in Vancouver next month. It will follow Alex Holland’s midlife crisis that forces him to leave Los Angeles behind for Washington and begin a new career. The Rookie creator Alexi Hawley is behind the latest spin-off, as isNathan Fillion.
