Berkeley officials were excited to host the Flag Football Game during Super Bowl week, with the celebrities bringing in the crowds and giving them a chance to showcase the city.
“It means a lot to our local community, and we encourage people to check it out while they’re here,” Berkeley Mayor Adena Ishii said.
The event also recognized first responders and military veterans by giving them free admission into the game.
Rapper Quavo says supporting our troops is bigger than any celebrity game.
“I’m just blessed to be here, just excited to be here for a cause, honoring our people in the field, I’m just here to have some fun,” Quavo said. As for the final score, Team Quavo beat Team Dwight 82 to 67 – an exciting game that brought some Super Bowl fun to the East Bay.
