Bella Hadid and her boyfriend, Adan Banuelos, are back together, multiple sources exclusively tell Us Weekly.
“The split was brief but needed,” one insider shares. “They have been up and down since December, but she still cares deeply about him and wants to make it work.”
A second source tells Us, “Their relationship is a work in progress. They come from two different worlds. The source of their ups and downs is their contrasting careers and lifestyles, but they have a big love for each other.”
Us confirmed on January 26 that Hadid, 29, and Banuelos, 36, had called it quits on their two-year relationship.
Five days later, Banuelos was arrested for public intoxication. A video obtained by TMZ showed the professional cowboy and Hadid slow-dancing at a bar in Texas just hours before he was booked into the Parker County jail, sparking rumors that the couple were back on.
“They are working on their relationship right now,” the first insider tells Us. “He has been a huge part of her life in Texas, so it’s been hard for her to let go.”
The second source notes that Hadid and Banuelos were already back together when he was arrested, and she cheered him on during a competition held the day after, witnessing the renowned equestrian’s horses win first place. The pair were also seen sitting together at the Winter Bash at Yellowstone cocreator Taylor Sheridan‘s Bosque Ranch in Weatherford, Texas, on Wednesday, February 4, in photos obtained by Us.

“Adan loves Bella and wants to make it work,” the second insider shares, calling Banuelos a “really good guy” who is “well-liked by everyone.”

“He trains over 100 horses monthly, competes and also trains several riders, including Bella,” the second source adds. “He’s the Tom Brady of his sport. They call him the $8 Million Cowboy.”
Us Weekly has reached out to reps for Hadid and Banuelos for comment.
The model met the NCHA Rider Hall of Fame inductee in 2023 after moving to Texas with her mom, Yolanda Hadid.

“I saw him walk in, and it was like a gust of fresh air,” she recalled to British Vogue last year, joking that she “always wanted the cowboy.”
Bella and Banuelos celebrated their second anniversary in October 2025, but Us previously reported that they separated sometime after the holiday season.
“They both had busy schedules and were long-distance for a period of time, and it wasn’t working out,” a source exclusively told Us last month. “They also realized they had differing opinions and values about life and their future. There was a lot that was putting strain on the relationship. Adan really wanted her to be in Texas with him, but Bella was ready to spread her wings again and take on more work in Los Angeles and New York.”
Bella got over the breakup by jetting to the Virgin Islands with her girlfriends.
“It was the perfect escape for her. She’s been really heartbroken and thought Adan was The One,” the insider said. “Her girlfriends and her family have been lifting her up in the last few weeks.”
