“Sinners” composer Ludwig Göransson and “KPop Demon Hunters” singer and songwriter Ejae led the winners at the 7th annual Society of Composers and Lyricists awards.
Göransson took home two Scl Awards for his “Sinners” score and the original song “I Lied to You,” co-written with Raphael Saadiq. Songwriters Ejae and Mark Sonnenblick won for outstanding original song for a comedy or musical with “Golden.”
Elsewhere, “Train Dreams” composer Bryce Dessner took home the outstanding original score award for an independent film.
Göransson and “Sinners” director Ryan Coogler were presented with the Spirit of Collaboration Award.
