NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — February in Tennessee can be cold, gray, and downright gloomy, with temps hovering near freezing and rain popping up more often than not.
But don’t let the dreary weather keep you cooped up — Nashville has plenty going on to keep you entertained, from concerts and museums to foodie adventures and family-friendly fun, especially over Presidents Day weekend.
Nashville’s museums and cultural venues provide a warm refuge from the weather. Music City staples like the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and the Johnny Cash Museum celebrate the city’s musical roots, while the Frist Art Museum and Tennessee State Museum offer rotating and historical exhibits.
Music will always remain a centerpiece of Nashville life, even in winter. Regular live performances continue at places such as the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman (see below), and other local venues, and a citywide music festival, 615 Indie Live, is scheduled for Feb. 7, showcasing independent artists at multiple locations across town.
