Candace Owens has accused Turning Point USA of faking the viewing figures for their All-American Halftime Show, which aired during the Super Bowl.
Taking to X on Sunday, February 8, Candace, 36, aired her concerns about the organization, founded by murdered conservative activist Charlie Kirk, fabricating viewership numbers for its Super Bowl halftime show, which aired as a rival to the official show, performed by Bad Bunny. Turning Point said their show, headlined by Kid Rock, achieved 5 million viewers live across its social media platforms.
Candace shared an earlier post on the social media site that showed a YouTube account’s viewer numbers at just under 6,000 and wrote, “The problem with people who have a lot of money they didn’t earn is that they tend to have no idea how stuff actually works.”
She then continued in a second post, “We have an organization that scammed its views by paying platform advertisers, followed by influencers to pretend they broke records.”
Blake Neff, who produced The Charlie Kirk Show before he was assassinated in September 2025, shared on X earlier in the evening, “TPUSA All-American Halftime Show … Over 5 million simultaneous on TPUSA YT [YouTube]. Almost 1 million on Charlie Kirk’s YT. 200k on Magno News YT. 220k on TPUSA Rumble. 15k CK Rumble.”
He then referred to Bad Bunny’s show as he continued, “The entire audience on RAV. And noticeably, the audience kept going up throughout the competing show.”
Candace also shared her opinion on Bad Bunny’s offering as she confessed, “I am sorry, but I hate both options.”
She added, “We have a halftime show presented without a word of English spoken. The left vs .right grift is actually boring now. What exactly are we doing here, America?”
Candace previously worked as a communications director for Turning Point USA between 2017 to 2019, and was friends with Charlie before his death. They first met in 2017 while both were focused on advancing their respective political careers.
However, despite her friendship with Charlie, Candace did not feel the same way about his wife. She also publicly admitted feeling that Tyler Robinson, who was arrested over Charlie’s murder, was wrongfully accused.
She later published what was allegedly a leaked conference call recording of Erika Kirk, supposedly recorded 12 days after Charlie’s death. The audio depicts Erika praising members of the Turning Point USA team for their recent successes.
Candace said of the recording, “We are not even two weeks after watching your husband be assassinated. We’re talking about numbers and metrics that have been hit.”
Erika, who is now the CEO of Turning Point USA after Charlie’s death, condemned the recording’s release and stated that she wanted Candace to stop peddling conspiracy theories about Charlie’s death.
The pair ultimately met in December 2025 to try and smooth out their differences, following which both women took to their individual X accounts to call the four-and-a-half-hour discussion “productive.”
