Comedian Mike Epps has apologized for making a crude joke about Nicki Minaj.

“Y’all know I’m Mr Accountability,” Epps said Tuesday in his Instagram stories. “You know, I say stuff and do stuff, and then I go to bed, wake up the next morning, [having] prayed on and thought about it. I just want to apologize to you, Nicki Minaj, for saying the stuff that I said. I want to apologize to your husband, your kids, all that for saying what I said.”

Epps joked about Minaj, who is a vocal supporter of the current administration, “having a train ran on her by Donald Trump and them,” during a Feb. 6 show during the We Them Ones Comedy Tour at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Ky.

“I’m a comedian,” Epps said in his apology post. “Sometimes I get on that stage, and I have a little drink, and I go wild. I’m non-filtered. Just wanted to apologize to you. Not explaining myself, but I am Mr. Accountability.”

He added, “I love apologizing, which is something a lot of people don’t know how to do. [I] apologize to you, Nicki.”

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a rep for Minaj.

The “Barbie World” artist, who’s described herself as an “illegal immigrant,” has been a public supporter of the Trump administration, which has aggressively targeted undocumented immigrants for deportation.

Last month, the Grammy-nominated artist made an appearance at a White House event.

“I am probably the president’s number 1 fan,” she told the crowd, “and that’s not going to change.”

Minaj later said that she had obtained a Trump Gold Card, which meant she would be “finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President.”

She continued, “Thanks to the petition. I wouldn’t have done it without you. Oh, CitizenNIKA, you are the moment. Gold Trump card free of charge.”

Trump had previously described the card as one that, for “a $15,000 DHS processing fee and, after background approval, a contribution of $1 million,” the applicant would receive “U.S. residency in record time.”
