Investigators involved with solving the disappearance of Today show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, are asking neighbors of the missing 84-year-old to utilize the Neighbors app.
An official statement from the Prima County Sheriff’s Department says those who live in the Catalina Hills community should submit ‘all video footage that includes vehicles, vehicle traffic, people/pedestrians, and anything neighbors deem out of the ordinary or important to our investigation from January 1, 2026 – February 2, 2026.’
They also added that the Pima County Sheriff’s Department periodically uses the Neighbors App to contact residents with home surveillance cameras. Requests will come from “Pima County Sheriff’s Department” with a blue checkmark. They ask neighbiors to verify legitimate posts before sharing.
They also shared, “As more leads come in, detectives and agents will continue to follow up on viable leads throughout the community. You can expect to see a higher presence of law enforcement activity going forward.”
Additionally, they request that those who may have footage share it with the department via a link.
Law enforcement has also found ‘several items of evidence,’ which include gloves. “As part of the investigative process, all viable evidence is submitted for analysis,” they added.
Previously, investigators asked neighbors to review footage from January 11 between 9 p.m. and midnight, as well as from January 31 between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Nancy was last seen alive on the evening of January 31 after having dinner with family members and was reported missing the following day. Her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, dropped her at home after spending the evening at his house, and was the last known person to see her prior to the disappearance.
The ransom note included deadlines — Febuary 5 and Febuary 9 at 5 p.m. local time — for the payment. Savannah also shared a video offering to pay the ransom and pleading for her mother’s safe return.
The FBI also released video footage from Nancy’s front door camera, which showed a potential subject in a balaclava that covered his face, as well as khaki pants and a sweatshirt.
He was also wearing a backpack and black gloves, which authorities have decided to focus on for evidence.
