Meghan Markle has reportedly made a firm request to her husband Prince Harry, eliciting a unified reaction from Sky News viewers.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, is said to have vetoed Harry’s attempts to mend ties with the Royal Family, fearing it could negatively impact her lifestyle brand, As Ever, amidst the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein saga. Harry’s disgraced uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his former wife Sarah Ferguson have been thrust back into the limelight following the release of three million documents from the Epstein files.
These documents provide further insight into the ex-Duke of York’s relationship with the convicted sex offender. Despite King Charles stripping his brother of his remaining Royal titles last year, the recent batch of files has reportedly plunged the monarchy into crisis mode, with rumors now suggesting the institution could be “in trouble”.
Despite indications that Harry has been leaning towards a reconciliation with his father, Meghan seems determined to maintain distance from the family, reports the Express.
“There’s no doubt the royal family is going through a crisis at the moment… Meghan will be aware of how upset Harry is by what’s happened… But in a way, she’ll probably be pleased that Harry has stayed out of it,” Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told RadarOnline. “I’m sure she’s telling him, ‘keep your head down, don’t get involved, the royal family is in a crisis, don’t drag us into this.”
