Enrique Arce, best known internationally as the beleaguered Arturo Román in Netflix megahit “Money Heist,” is set to star opposite Helena Caldeira in “Aguas Pasadas” (“Past Waters”), an eight-episode psychological thriller drama marking a significant new Iberian co-production.
Caldeira, who broke out in Netflix’s Portuguese-language hit “Rabo de Peixe” and period drama “Blood’less’ Revolution,” will co-lead the series, which blends psychological tension with emotional drama.
Directed by Bruno Gascon, whose credits include the well-received feature “Shadow” and series “Irreversível,” this series is written by João Tordo, María Mínguez and Gascon, and is based on author Tordo’s book trilogy.
