The segment, which first aired in October, was to be included in a rerun airing Sunday against the Super Bowl. The Attia segment will be replaced with another piece.
Attia was named as a CBS News contributor, along with 18 others, just last week as part of Bari Weiss’ new strategy for the news division.
The documents in which Attia was named included direct correspondence in the mid-2010s between himself and disgraced financier Epstein, who, by that time, had already pleaded guilty to prostitution charges. Epstein was later charged with trafficking underage girls for sex.
