Benny Blanco is sharing new details about his wedding to Selena Gomez.
Since Blanco, 37, and Gomez, 33, said “I do” on Sept. 27, 2025, in Santa Barbara, California, the couple have kept most details about their ultra-private ceremony under wraps. During Blanco’s Thursday, Feb. 26 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! alongside Lil Dicky, 37, to promote their new podcast, Friends Keep Secrets, he revealed that the rapper, who was born David Burd, was his wedding officiant.
The longtime friends and collaborators both tied the knot with their respective wives last year in what Burd described on the show as “the best nights of our lives.”
“We were heavily involved [in each other’s weddings]. We didn’t each have a best man, but I officiated his and he gave the speech from like my male point of view at my wedding, and it was great,” Burd said.

Blanco added, “It was incredible. Unbelievable.”
As Blanco and Burd were getting ready for Blanco’s big day, Gomez called her now-husband to ask the “Freaky Friday” singer to remove any parts of his officiant speech that overlapped with topics mentioned in her vows.
“She said, ‘Hey, just make sure Dave doesn’t say anything about this part or this part because it’s part of my speech,’ ” Blanco remembered. “And that was the whole opening three minutes of his speech.”
“I wanted to push back, but it was her wedding,” Burd joked.
Despite having to rewrite his opening, the speech still “really turned out great.”
“I’m very proud of myself,” he said.
While Blanco didn’t officiate Burd’s wedding, he did give a speech at the reception and brought Gomez as his date. Gomez shared several PDA-filled photos from the oceanside celebration on Instagram in August 2025.
Burd didn’t confirm his marriage to Kristin Batalucco until late September. At the time, he shared several wedding photos on Instagram with the sweet caption, “I got married to the love of my life!” One photo was of Blanco giving his speech on a checkered dance floor — barefoot. Blanco teased in a comment, “where r my shoes ?”

The often barefoot mega-producer got married about a month and a half after his pal.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Gomez and Blanco curated the perfect night for themselves and their guests to celebrate their marriage, sharing, “There was so much love in the room.”
“At the reception, everyone was letting loose and celebrating them well into the night. The vibe was so much fun,” the insider said.
The newlyweds were “glowing all night” and “couldn’t stop smiling,” the source added.
