The 12 Best Dressed Stars at the Actor Awards 2026

Tonight, Balenciaga, who also has a new designer in Pierpaolo Piccioli, has amped up their VIP dressing strategy too. Piccioli had a hit with Tessa Thompson at the Golden Globes, and this time he dressed Jessie Buckley, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Noah Wyle in custom looks, plus Brigerton’s Yerin Ha and Love Story’s Sarah Pidgeon in runway ensembles. Pidgeon, in particular, looked stunning—a mix of a good dress and amazing glam, and Buckley is looking more and more like a best actress Oscar winner (chalk that up to her stylist Danielle Goldberg).

Timothée Chalamet has been wearing a version of the same double breasted Givenchy by Sarah Burton suit for many of his appearances this season, the best version being the black one he wore last week at the BAFTAs. Tonight, he opted for a white, also double breasted, suit by Prada. Fresh off a knockout hosting duty at SNL last night, Connor Storrie walked the carpet in a terrific Saint Laurent suit—sans shirt, with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. To paraphrase my friends from One Direction: it’s crazy just how fast the night changes!

One of the best fashion moments of the night was Demi Moore in a dream of a Schiaparelli couture dress—she and her stylist, Brad Goreski, sat front row at Daniel Roseberry’s spring couture show for the label in January. Gwyneth Paltrow has become somewhat of an anomaly at awards shows, but she made a return for the Actor Awards in an über sexy black lace naked dress from Givenchy by Sarah Burton. Speaking of sexy, Kristen Wiig, to borrow Pop Crave’s verbiage, stunned in a black silk dress, and Taylor, who has walked every red carpet body-first, wore a trompe l’oeil couture dress by Thom Browne with an artsy and meticulously pieced together anatomical bodice. Amy Madigan remains the coolest in the room, this time in Dior by Jonathan Anderson.

Notice two things in this best dressed list. First: all throughout awards season we’ve seen an abundance of black and white—there’s an appetite for restraint, in some cases, and in others an alignment with the penchant for old Hollywood elegance. (It would be giving Tinseltown too much credit to say that stars are trying to dress according to the state of the world.) Second: This list features no men. Who needs men, really? Not us—even though we love our boys!—when the women look this great. Sorry, dudes, the ladies ran laps around you tonight.
