Catherine, the Princess of Wales’ sweet moment with royal photographers has been caught on camera, delighting fans as the footage circulated on social media.
She joined other senior members of the royal family, including her husband Prince William, at Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day service on Monday.
In the clip, Kate is seen looking at the service’s program before apparently catching the eye of The Sun’s Arthur Edwards, a legendary veteran photographer who has captured iconic royal moments for decades.
She then quickly grinned, mouthing a warm “hello!” toward him and looking delighted.
Royal-watchers seemingly loved the wholesome moment, with one describing her as a “class act”.
“I love her approach! No posing, no fake coy glances. Just a sincere smile and a mouthed greeting!” another wrote on X.
A third added: “She’s so cute.”
The Commonwealth Day outing was the largest royal family gathering since the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on suspicion of misconduct in public office last month.
The Princess of Wales was typically elegant in a collared navy Catherine Walker dress coat, featuring a pleated skirt, and accessorised with matching heels and a felt Sean Barrett hat.
She carried a $550 Strathberry handbag and wore a vintage faux pearl necklace by Susan Caplan.
The service featured the traditional message from the monarch, delivered in a special booklet during the congregation, which this year featured a subtle nod to the current conflicts impacting the globe.
“In a world that can feel increasingly fragmented, this voluntary union of free association remains rare and precious – a forum for open and honest discussion and debate to help improve the lives of the nearly three billion people who call our member states home,” the King wrote.
He added: “Working together, we can ensure that the Commonwealth continues to stand as a force for good.”
