An Eggstravaganza!
This early Easter party, hosted by BREC, will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Independence Community Park near Liberty Lagoon. Offering separate egg hunts for different age groups, face painting, bounce houses, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and visit from the Easter Bunny. brec.org/communityevents.

Walking for a cause
Down Syndrome Awareness Group’s flagship event, the Buddy Walk, gets going at 9 a.m. Saturday at A.Z. Young Park downtown. The event runs until 1 p.m. and features free food and drinks, giveaways, train rides and dinosaur experiences. Last year’s event raised more than $100,000. dsagbr.org.
