Princess Eugenie‘s husband Jack Brooksbank is said to be standing by his wife during the scandal involving her parents’ connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Eugenie and Jack tied the knot in Windsor in 2018 – just five months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married at the same venue.
Eugenie has been caught up in the crossfire of Andrew and Sarah’s involvement with Epstein, with Jack reportedly adamant he doesn’t want his mother-in-law moving into their home. Following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office last month, Andrew has always vehemently denied any accusations against him and was released under investigation.
A close source told the Daily Mail that Jack wouldn’t “completely desert Andrew and Sarah” but isn’t keen on the idea of Sarah moving in with his family. They added: “His first loyalty has to be to his wife and their two young children.
“The whole sordid affair has already brought them a great deal of unwarranted attention, and he won’t do anything to increase that.”
The 39-year-old, a former barman and owner of the profitable AEB Consultants Ltd, is said to be concerned about the impact the damning revelations could have on his livelihood.
He is also said to fear that both he and Eugenie will become “tainted by association”.
The source added: “Jack has worked very hard building his business, and it’s going well, so the last thing he needs is for the Epstein scandal to taint that.
“He will do everything he can to keep his head below the parapet because of that.”
Eugenie and Jack welcomed their first son, five-year-old August, in February 2021. They later welcomed a second son, Ernest, in May 2023.
The couple are known to split their time living between London and Portugal due to Jack’s work commitments.
