Breakout singer-songwriter-guitarist Ty Myers, who performed at The Texas Club in Baton Rouge in fall 2024, will return to the city this fall to play a much larger venue, the Raising Cane’s River Center Arena.
It’s appropriately titled “The Legal Tour” as the Austin, Texas, native celebrated his 18th birthday in July.
Ticket presales for the Oct. 1 show will run Tuesday-Thursday, March 31-April 2, with tickets on sale to the public starting Friday, April 3, at raisingcanesrivercenter.com. Limit eight tickets per person.
Myers, whose musical style leans into blues, rock, soul and country, will release his second album, “Heavy On The Soul, on Friday through Records Nashville/Columbia. Early releases from the record include “Message to You,” “Leaving Carolina,” “Through a Screen,” “Come On Over, Baby” and “Two Trains (feat. Marcus King).”
His 2025 debut album, “The Select,” was certified gold. Its single, “Ends of the Earth,” marked Myers’ first platinum hit, with the track currently in country radio’s top 15 and climbing.
The new 33-date United States tour opens June 11 in Sidney, Maine, and wraps with a Nov. 21 stop in Fort Worth, Texas. Myers’ other nearby concert will be Oct. 3 in Brandon, Miss. Supporting acts along the way include Brent Cobb, Lanie Gardner and Benny G.
“Inciting heartthrob-level pandemonium on the road, the fast-rising phenomenon followed his first sold-out headline run with a sold-out 73-date trek ‘The Select Tour’ wrapping Feb. 27 in Columbia, SC.,” a news release from Sweet Talk Publicity states. “Set to make his Stagecoach debut and support Luke Combs’ ‘My Kinda Saturday Night Tour’ at stadiums this spring, he’s previously opened for Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, Old Dominion, Tim McGraw and Willie Nelson, among others.”
With 1.2 billion-plus global streams to date, Myers gained career traction on Spotify, and recently was chosen for Spotify’s Radar program. It’s “an initiative created to spotlight up-and-coming music talent, giving them an opportunity to broaden their fanbase and supporting them on their path to superstardom,” the release also states.
Other artists who have participated in the Radar program include Reneé Rapp, Peso Pluma, Sexyy Red, Zach Bryan — who will be performing in LSU’s Tiger Stadium on Saturday night — and more than 900 others.
