According to a recent report, the 83-year-old singer supposedly teased the current US President in his latest concert by ridiculing his dance moves.
As per celebrity.land, while Paul McCartney mostly avoided talking about politics, he did deviate from his stance at one point by bringing up Donald Trump. The audience responded by booing in unison as soon as he mentioned the POTUS’ name.
The incident occurred during the second of McCartney’s two concerts at the iconic Fonda Theatre. The 1,200-person capacity venue housed multiple celebrities on Saturday night, featuring the likes of Stevie Nicks, Taylor Swift, Margot Robbie, Billie Eilish, Steve Carell, Laura Dern, Dakota Johnson, and Ringo Starr, among others.
Notably, McCartney’s concert, which saw him take a dig at Trump’s dance routine, took place at the same time as the nationwide ‘No Kings’ protests. Many people who had participated in the demonstrations were present at the venue for his show, including Annika Ahmed, a 44-year-old employed by the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Ahmed noted that she specifically skipped Saturday’s rallies to witness the Beatles star’s performance. Explaining her absence from the protests, she stated that it felt good to support “someone who we hope has good values and good ideas about how things should be.”
Meanwhile, Paul McCartney also entertained his fans at the concert by performing a host of hit Beatles and Wings singles, including “Blackbird,” “Help!,” “Something,” “I’ve Just Seen a Face,” “Band on the Run,” and “Let Me Roll It,” among others, during the two-hour set.
