Alejandra Gere is reflecting on some sweet moments during her recent getaway with husband Richard Gere and their younger children.
The Spanish publicist and activist, 43, shared a look inside her family’s recent tropical getaway in an Instagram post on Wednesday, April 8.
She began the carousel of photos and videos with a clip of her walking on a dock with her and Richard’s two sons, Alexander, 7, and James, 6. As Alejandra holds hands with one of her sons, the trio stroll along the waterfront location while the sun sets behind them and creates a picturesque backdrop.
The next few slides show the family appearing to enjoy an outdoor movie night at their hotel, followed by a serene boat ride with dolphin watching.
In a different clip, Alejandra shared another look at the resort they were seemingly staying at as they prepared to sit down for a meal. In the background, white sand and turquoise water peeked out between the many palm trees.
The collection of photos and videos was accompanied by a sentimental caption, in which Alejandra expressed a reminder for herself to savor every moment with her kids as they grow older.
“Sometimes I wish time would stop.. That they would stay small, looking at the world with such pure curiosity. Discovering every corner of nature as if it were the first time,” she shared in her caption, which was originally written in Spanish.
However, she admits that she knows life is all about guiding her children as they grow up and observing how they take in the world around them.
“And then you understand that it is not about stopping time, but about living every moment with them as if it were eternal,” she concluded.
Along with Alexander and James, Alejandra is also mom to 13-year-old son Albert from her previous marriage to ex-husband Govind Friedland. Richard also shares an older son, Homer, 26, with ex-wife Carey Lowell.

In the last couple of years, the couple, who wed in 2018, relocated to Spain, Alejandra’s home country. Before their international move, the pair sold their Connecticut home for $10.75 million in October 2024 as they welcomed a fresh start in Madrid.
While speaking to PEOPLE last year, Richard, 76, shared the best part about his family’s new home in Spain.

“My wife is so happy in Spain, so that’s the best part of that,” he said in an exclusive interview published in November. “She has wonderful family, wonderful friends.”
“Spanish culture, there’s a very open joy about it,” he continued, adding that the Spanish people are “very warm and very open and a lot less stressed than what you find here in the U.S.”
The Pretty Woman star then went on to explain how he’s been enjoying the culture, adding, “It’s a very happy place. Like the Italians. I mean, being in Italy, being in Spain, you’re dealing with Latin cultures that just understand life in a different way than we do here.”
