Nick Bollea, aka Nick Hogan, has many fond memories of his dad, but one stands out above the rest.
When asked which moment with his pro-wrestler father Nick would want to rewind to, he knew the answer instantly. “Last year, before [Hulk Hogan] passed, we spent so much time together,” Nick told PauseRewind reporter Sabra Satz-Kojis. “We were traveling North America, he was promoting his new beer, Real American Beer, and he was going to New York to work on the new restaurant that’s opening this summer called Slam Sports Bar in New York. He was just traveling around the country, and he brought me with him to help out and, you know, help with a lot of the business stuff that we were doing, and really made it a family business.”
Nick continued, “We spent so much time together on the road, one-on-one, on planes, cars, you know, everywhere. Just traveling and seeing the world with him and watching him go out and see his fans. That was just so amazing.”
The reality TV star felt that this time leading up to Hulk’s death was unique compared to how the father-son duo typically spent quality time. “It was just such a nice thing to spend that time with him, rather than just, you know, ‘Hey dad, let’s get together for a workout,’ or ‘Hey, let’s go grab some food,’ and then, you know, it’s an hour or two, or whatever. We were together for days on end, which was so cool,” Nick explained.
“The bonding that we had is something that, you know, could never be replaced,” Nick explained. “So, if I could, I would love to just go back to even last year.”
Hulk and Nick are both featured in “Hulk Hogan: Real American,” which premieres on Netflix on April 22nd.
