David Haye has continued to target Adam Thomas after his I’m A Celebrity exit, following days of clashes with the actor, who suffers with autoimmune illness psoriatic arthritis

David Haye made a dramatic exit from the I’m A Celebrity camp in a shock double eviction, yet couldn’t resist taking one final swipe at fellow campmate Adam Thomas on his way out. The pair have been at loggerheads throughout their time on the show, with the majority of viewers firmly backing soap star Adam.
The 37 year old actor was diagnosed with the autoimmune condition psoriatic arthritis in 2023 and has visibly struggled with his health while on screen. Haye repeatedly accused Adam of shirking trials, branding him idle rather than acknowledging his genuine illness.
In their last exchanges before David’s departure, he claimed Adam lacked the “mental strength” to participate in a group trial, and also insinuated he had “some issues” beyond the camp. Adam hit back, saying: “I’ve got no issues David, you’re my issue right now.” At another point he told David: “Shut up man. All day every day for two days straight, just chill.”
While David claimed to find their exchanges “funny”, the rest of the camp appeared thoroughly exasperated, none more so than Adam, who later revealed on social media that the ordeal had “broke him”, reports the Mirror.
Within camp, Adam said: “I’m glad you love it, because I don’t. Because I like you bro and I don’t understand why you keep coming for me 24/7.” David did offer an apology, saying he was “sorry”, to which Adam responded bluntly: “You’re not bro.”
Following his eviction, Haye was quizzed about his turbulent relationship with Adam, yet showed little sign of softening his stance. He said: “No bad blood from my side. Look, I’ve been immersed in tough boxing gyms since I was ten years old. Literally fighting daily, much bigger men than myself, pushing myself to the limits, physically and mentally. I won the world heavyweight championship against a seven-foot Russian giant.
“So when a grown man tells me that a fun TV show – where we’re being paid handsomely every single day – is the hardest thing he’s ever been through, it’s just not a frequency I recognise. I was actually on my best behaviour in there, honestly. I’ve spoken to Adam, I’ve said my piece, and some of what’s still to air will speak for itself. I’ll leave it there.”
David may well be alluding to a further dispute that Adam becomes embroiled in following his departure from the programme, during which the actor also came into conflict with Jimmy Bullard. These scenes are set to air tonight/on Tuesday night.

David also maintained that he felt “relieved” to depart the camp at the beginning of the final week, commenting: “I’m walking out with a smile on my face. I wasn’t the first out the door either, which I’m pleased about. But more than anything, what made it worthwhile was the company. The personalities in that camp were something else, and that’s what I’ll take away from it.
“I walked in telling myself to soak up every minute of it, and I did. The campmates were a proper group – funny, warm, full of character. The energy was there from day one. I’ve come away with friendships I know I’ll keep – people I’ll genuinely stay in touch with. That’s not something you can fake.”
He maintained the discussions in camp were “deeper” than those he experienced during his Australian stint, partly because he was now fourteen years older and a father. When questioned about his decision to select TV star Gemma Collins as the second person to leave, he said: “Gemma was ready. You could see it in her. Everyone else still had that fire, still wanted to stay and fight for it, so it was a no-brainer really.
“The two of us were both itching to get back to our partners, and I think we’d both earned it – done our trials, had a laugh, properly thrown ourselves into the experience. We were ready to call it a day and move on.” He confessed he was taken aback by how well he connected with Gemma.
He explained: “Took us a bit of time to find our rhythm, because we’re both big personalities and neither of us does quiet, but once we got there I had nothing but respect for her. She’s unapologetically herself, doesn’t put on a front for anyone, and I love that about her.”
