History Channel personality, YouTube star, and extraterrestrial researcher David Wilcock has died at age 53 after an incident involving police response in Boulder County, Colo.
Local authorities reported that they responded Monday to an incident near the 1400 block of Ridge Road, where an emergency communications specialist dispatched officers over speculation that an individual was having a “mental health crisis.”
Deputies arrived at approximately 11:02 a.m. local time, the report said, with police making contact with a man outside a residence who was “holding a weapon.” He later “used the weapon on himself,” the report continued, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased as frequent Ancient Aliens contributor Wilcock.
A photo from the scene published by police (above) shows several cars parked outside two cabin-like structures in a heavily wooded area. The buildings both have a green roof and brown, wooden exteriors, similar to those that frequently appeared in Wilcock’s YouTube videos over the years.

In addition to his popularity on YouTube, where he amassed 520,000 subscribers, Wilcock was a regular on-camera contributor and consulting producer for the History Channel’s Ancient Aliens docuseries, which debuted in 2009 and investigates conspiracy theories, alien existence, and other supernatural occurrences.
His work outside the History Channel involved conspiracy theories related to world governments — particularly that of the United States — and the production of other projects, including The Cosmic Secret, Wisdom Teachings, and Cosmic Disclosure, among others.
