Kid Rock is hyping up his upcoming performance at his Rock The Country festival, assuring fans that it’s going to be a knockout.
On Thursday, April 23, the 55-year-old country star promised to deliver at his upcoming country festial, despite a series of failures leading up to its kick off. In his latest X post, the All Summer Long hitmaker shared a clip of a knockout punch by Butterbean along with the caption, “When it comes to entertaining good people and putting on a show, this is me vs the competition – everytime / all the time! It ain’t braggin’ MF if ya back it up! C ya soon.”
And while Kid Rock seemed to be confident of his upcoming show, he has faced a series of set-backs including discounted prices and Jelly Roll dropping out of the line-up for one of the locations. In his latest attempt to sell out the festival, the Michigan-native discounted ticket sales by a staggering 50%, citing increased gas prices in the U.S. as his reasoning.
Under the bold post, Kid Rock was met with a string of hate as many called criticized him for the cocky move.
One person wrote, “Ain’t nobody trying to pay money to see you lip syncing on stage to backing track. Ya Buddy Ebson looking mf’er!”
Another critic added, “Lol, Richie your washed up old sack can’t compete with them anymore. Maybe take up basketball weaving or something?”
While a third wrote, “You couldn’t fight your way out of a wet paper bag even if someone was there to help you.”
Someone else bringing up his altnerative Turning Point USA half-time show posted, “Lip-syncing again like the American Halftime show Skid Rock???”
But others defended the singer’s statement as one supporter wrote, “I’ve seen Kid Rock 18 times and there is nobody and I mean nobody that puts on a show like Kid Rock. I’ve seen plenty of other artists and nobody comes close. Keep rocking with KR.”
Another fan added, “You always put your heart and Soul into your music as well as you put into your concerts. That’s why the fans love you so much. You Aren’t bragging you just know what you’re doing. Do what you do best.”
While a third person chimed in, “Damn straight!! You are one of the greatest showmen ever!!”
Kid Rock is headlining the 2026 Rock the Country traveling music festival, a multi-city tour featuring artists like Jason Aldean, Creed, and Miranda Lambert. Kid Rock’s vision behind the festival is as a patriotic celebration of American community, tradition, and freedom.
The tour spans eight stops in small towns from May through September 2026, including locations in small towns in Texas, Georgia, South Dakota, Kentucky, Michigan, Florida, and New York.
