Carmen and Lupita Andrade, who were featured on TLC in the reality series Extraordinary People, have responded to critics discussing one of the twins’ marriage to Daniel McCormack
Carmen and Lupita Andrade are addressing the “very intrusive” questions their followers are asking.
The conjoined twins, 25, took to TikTok to do an FAQ for those who don’t “shut the f— on videos that have nothing to do with our bodies.”
After Lupita shared how she occupies herself when her sister is getting intimate, Lupita gave a more in-depth explanation of how they go about sexual encounters. The reality star shared, “We share a reproductive system, and we both felt our f—ing pain when we had endometrosis. So you do the math of your weird, inappropriate questions about sex.”

Carmen also shed light on her marriage to Daniel McCormack, whom she married in October 2024. Four years after the two met on the dating app Hinge, they sloped and held an intimate ceremony on the Lover’s Leap Bridge in New Milford, Connecticut.
Carmen said her husband isn’t “dating both of us,” while Lupita clarified, “I don’t want anyone.”
The married twin also mentioned she can’t have kids, nor does she want any. Daniel also feels the same way.
Carmen and Lupita are joined at the torso and share several organs. Each has her own heart, lungs, and stomach.
When it comes to their marriage, the two are “constantly talking.”
While speaking to People, Carmen said, “If there’s anything Lupita isn’t comfortable with, even something like cuddling, we respect that.”
She also mentioned she isn’t an “overly affectionate person” anyway.
“There’s this societal expectation that there needs to be affection all the time in a relationship,” Carmen stated, before clarifying she and her partner prefer quality time as their love language. “All we do is joke around.”
When discussing how they go about sexual acts, she said, “We try to be respectful because Lupita is right there.”
Carmen also mentioned, “I have headphones and a phone. I don’t care.”
Lupita has previously identified herself as asexual, yet supports her sister’s relationship.
The conjoined twins were originally born in Mexico and moved to the United States when they were two years old. They arrived on a medical visa to meet with surgeons regarding a potential separation; however, it was ultimately deemed too high a risk.
They have since been sharing their lives on social media and making on-screen appearances on talk shows and documentaries.
In 2020, Carmen and Lupita starred in TLC’s reality series Extraordinary People within a special titled Conjoined Twins: Inseparable. The show followed the two as they navigated high school, driving tests and their first year of community college.
