Prince Harry has looked slightly miserable lately, and I think I know why. Being an outsider is never fun, especially when it comes to being an outsider within your own family. Like, as rumour has it, Prince Harry is. While Harry is still a member of the Royal Family, all the way across the pond in America, he was dubbed an ‘outsider’ last week by royal expert Katie Nicholl. Why? Well, because Harry’s father King Charles apparently isn’t even taking his calls anymore.
And as a royal expert, I think there is only one thing Harry can do to change that and be happier. Follow the rules.
Since quitting royal life in 2020, Harry has loved to go against what he should be doing. Saying things he shouldn’t be saying. Making revelations that shouldn’t be revealed.
All of these things have only worsened relationships between the duke and his family. Relationships that he claims to want to fix.
And this latest example of not following rules, with Harry not following official communication channels to chat to his dad, is just another reason why he is an outsider and why his family are hesitant to let him in.
The only way he can change this is to make a change himself. If he follows the rules, and simply goes through the correct communication channels to reach his father – channels that have always existed – then the King probably will pick up the phone. Why wouldn’t he?
After all, I think it’s the fact Harry is trying to communicate with his father in an unofficial way that is making the royals nervous and hesitant.
And after all Harry has said and done over the last six years, can we really blame them for feeling this way? I certainly can’t.
