SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — With the Jazz and Mammoth wrapping up their 2025-26 seasons, the Smith Entertainment Group has restarted its work to transform the Delta Center.
At the start of the 2026-27 season, SEG said the Delta Center’s upper-north end zone will have new terrace-style ledges that provide full-view seating.
Crews will also be adding suspended “gondolas” along both sidelines, according to SEG. The gondolas will reportedly provide a bird’s-eye view of the court or ice for over 200 fans.
Finally, the parking structure on the southwest corner of the arena is expected to be completed during the offseason.

SEG said major construction plans in 2027 will introduce a dynamic slope design, which officials said would “connect the upper and lower levels.”
Over the next two years, SEG also plans to bring upgrades to the concourse and outdoor plaza, adding bathroom capacity, new concession options, and a redesigned main entrance for the Delta Center.
“Whether someone is a lifelong season ticket holder or a first-time attendee, and whether they are hosting business clients or bringing their whole family to a game, the arena has been thoughtfully designed to deliver a best-in-class experience to every fan,” SEG said in a statement. “When complete, every seat throughout the arena will be replaced and reconfigured to ensure full sightlines for both basketball and hockey.”
Work on the Delta Center will continue throughout the summer months before the NHL and NBA seasons pick back up in the fall.
