This week in 417 food news, an entertainment center’s Springfield spot has a new name on its new sign and a food truck announced its last day. Plus, throw it back to the ’90s with camp badge-style patches from a coffee shop.
Area entertainment center debuts rebrand
The entertainment center formerly known as “America’s Incredible Pizza” is now sporting its new brand identity at its Springfield flagship location, 2850 S. Campbell Ave.
Incredible Food and Fun announced the rebrand in November 2025, but the signage didn’t immediately change. The name change and rebranding is meant to “reflect the company’s evolution over 25 years, growing from an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet into a nationally recognized destination for attractions, modern food experiences, and unforgettable family moments,” according to the November 2025 news release.
Incredible Food and Fun was established in 2001 as Incredible Pizza Company by founders Rick and Cheryl Barsness. The company is known for its 80,000 square-foot indoor family entertainment centers that offer attractions, arcade games, rides and immersive experiences alongside freshly prepared food. The facilities are smoke-free and alcohol-free.
The Springfield-based chain of buffet/entertainment centers has locations in Memphis, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and San Antonio.
Venezuelan food truck closes
A Venezuelan food truck’s final day was May 5, according to a Facebook post, prompting dismay and speculation from customers. Caracas House served up traditional Venezuelan food, including arepas, at Metro Eats food park on Sunshine Street.
“Today was our last day of service in the food truck. Thank you for being part of our journey!” the post said. “We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again.”
The phrasing sparked hope from commenters about Caracas House possibly opening a brick-and-mortar location. As of publication, the News-Leader was unable to confirm any future plans with owner Luis Sulbaran.
Sulbaran, a Venezuelan native, opened the food truck in September 2023. He came to Springfield at age 16 and then returned again to be with family after a couple years in Miami.
“Like every Venezuelan, I miss my food. I miss our customs. We’re far from our homeland. I miss many things, but the thing I miss most is the food, without a doubt,” Sulbaran said in the September 2023 interview. “And I know that there are more Venezuelans or Latinos who are settling here in Springfield.”
Coffee shop handing out patches Wednesdays in May
If you yearn for your childhood summers free of responsibility, Scooter’s Coffee is giving away a sip of ’90s nostalgia each Wednesday in May. Guests who visit the shops after 11 a.m. on Wednesdays can receive a peel-and-stick “camp badge” patch while supplies last.
The patches are “designed to spark carefree, sun-soaked memories” of summer camp in the 90s, according to a news release. They are also offering a summer menu with items like banana cream matcha, s’mores lattes and a grape-flavored energy drink that contains Red Bull.
Scooter’s Coffee has three locations in the Ozarks: 2930 S. Campbell Ave. and 3265 E. Sunshine St. in Springfield, and 604 W. Mt. Vernon St. in Nixa.
