- NASCAR’s All-Star race weekend at Dover Motor Speedway features entertainment for all ages outside the track with no ticket required.
- The All-Star Village and Miles Beach in the Fan Zone will host live music, animals, games, displays, lumberjack demonstrations, stunt shows, a beer garden and driver appearances.
- The entertainment includes roaming performers including AmirrorCAN Man and Rock-It Robot and photo opportunities like with the world’s largest rubber duck, over six stories tall.
Dover Motor Speedway is throwing a party for the fans outside the track during the speedway’s first NASCAR All-Star race weekend May 15-17, and you don’t need a ticket to attend.
“Hosting the NASCAR All-Star Race is an honor, and we’re thrilled to welcome the sport’s biggest stars and our loyal fans back to Dover,” said Mike Tatoian, president of the speedway. “We take a lot of pride in delivering the best Fan Zone in all of motorsports, and we can’t wait to surprise and delight fans when they arrive.”
Races include the Ecosave 200 in the Craftsman Truck Series May 15, the BetRivers 200 in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series May 16 and the NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race May 17.
While the high-speed competition on the track is the main attraction, the Fan Zone outside the oval will be buzzing with the new All-Star Village and the return of Miles Beach featuring live performances, shows, a petting zoo, roaming entertainers, hands-on activities, autograph sessions and photo opportunities.
Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Ross Chastain, Kyle Busch, Connor Zilisch, Ty Gibbs and NASCAR Hall of Famer Donnie Allison are among the drivers scheduled to make appearances May 17 at the Monster Monument and the Cracker Barrel Stage.
Live music by nine acts
During race weekend, groups performing in the grandstand areas include the Mariachi Arrieros Band, Trinidad North Steel Drum, The Red Hot Ramblers and Homestead Bluegrass.
At Miles Beach, headliners include Emily Moses McNatt May 16 during the day, and the Philly Keys with dueling piano performances, crowd interaction and fan-favorite songs that evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. Soul Chase will perform May 17.
Throughout the weekend, DJ Yarney will be spinning tunes in All-Star Village.
Cast in Bronze, a traveling carillon with 35 bells weighing a combined four tons, will be played live by Frank DellaPenna who has performed at Walt Disney World’s Epcot Center and on national TV.
Lumberjack show, beer garden and world’s largest rubber duck
Dover Motor Speedway will unveil the two-acre All-Star Village as its new entertainment hub May 15 from noon-5 p.m., and continuing May 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and May 17 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Along with music, the village is hosting entertainment including:
- Timberworks lumberjack show with professional lumberjacks who have appeared in competitions on ESPN and ABC, demonstrating axe throwing, log rolling, speed climbing and chainsaw cutting
- NASCAR driver displays and highlights featuring every competitor in the All-Star race and their top career achievements along with an interactive display of the most memorable All-Star race moments like “The Pass in the Grass”
- axe throwing with six lanes of free targets to test your skill and compete against friends and family
- world’s largest rubber duck, a fan favorite returning to the Monster Mile for its third straight year, towering more than six stories tall
- The King’s Hat, a traveling, six-foot-tall handcrafted sculpture celebrating Richard Petty and the Petty family’s rich history in NASCAR
- Red, White and Brew Beer Garden with a two-level bar
More surprises including sharks, stingrays at Miles Beach
Miles Beach, presented by Visit Delaware, brings the coastal vibe to Dover with over 600 tons of sand, a boardwalk, palm trees, beach balls, Adirondack chairs and 25-foot tall lighthouse.
Hours are noon to 9 p.m. May 15, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 16 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17.
Entertainment at Miles Beach includes:
- Sea lion shows, a live shark exhibit and the stingray experience allowing visitors to safety touch the stingrays with the assistance of the expert staff
- White Lightning Bar and Arcade with full bar and more than a dozen classic arcade games
- Driver appearances, with Ty Gibbs scheduled on Sunday morning and more drivers to be announced
- Sand sculpture featuring a demonstration by a professional sand sculptor with the finished piece on display May 17
- Trivia and games
- Complimentary caricature drawings, giving fans a personalized keepsake
Bumper cars, micro wrestling, motorcycle stunts
The Fan Zone offers more shows, demonstrations and games, starting May 15 at noon, May 16 at 9 a.m., and May 17 at 8 a.m.
Featured entertainment includes:
- Krazy Maze, a giant walk-through maze for all ages
- NASCAR Kids Zone for fans 12 and under with racing-themed fun and activities
- Little Farm with pony rides, goats, donkeys and other friendly animals and free face painting
- Bumper cars, the classic fun and friendly, but full-contact ride for all ages
- Micro Wrestling professional wrestling
- Dialed Action stunt show with extreme sports excitement on motorcycles and BMX bikes
- Frick Frack Blackjack, a comedy-driven game show where fans are invited to play a no-cash, no-limit version of blackjack by bartering everyday items, jokes or ridiculous dares
- AmirrorCAN Man, nearly seven feet tall, dressed in red, white and blue mirror armor
- Rock-It Robot, standing nine feet tall and powered by music
- Plant Guy, who blends seamlessly into the scenery before suddenly coming to life, surprising unsuspecting guests and creating hilarious moments and photo opportunities
- Del Rods Car Show May 16 and 17 with classic, custom and modern cars and trucks
Dover Motor Speedway is located at 1131 N. Dupont Hwy. (Route 13 North) but during race weekend, look for the signs along the highway directing traffic to the parking areas including on Leipsic Road.
