They could revisit their relationship in the future, a source explained, noting they were privately on-off before.
Hewitt gave birth to their daughter, Scottie, in December.

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have gone their separate ways romantically for now. A source told People that the pair, who welcomed their daughter five months ago, have broken up but “are working on things. They want one another to succeed and be happy.”

The insider added that reconciliation is a possibility, noting their on-off history. “There have been points where they’ve split and have gotten back together,” the source explained.

On April 30, an insider told the outlet that Davidson and Hewitt were in a rough patch. “There are issues, but they’re trying to figure things out together,” the insider said. “They’re adjusting to parenthood and working through the process.” Their daughter is “their top priority,” the source added.

Hewitt and Davidson first confirmed their relationship in March 2025. They announced they were expecting their first child months later, in July 2025.

Their daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, was born on December 12. In Februrary, Hewitt wrote an essay for ELLE about her decision not to breastfeed.

In a joint interview with Us Weekly, the couple shared their hopes to eventually get married and have more children. “Yeah, we’ll do all that stuff,” Davidson quipped when asked if they’d tie the knot or have enough kids for a soccer team.

“I think, obviously, we talk about next steps and all that stuff,” Davidson said. “But right now, we’re just, like, let’s get this routine with this baby down….The first three months of the baby is, you’re just keeping her alive. We’re already, like, we’re gonna have another one.”

He also touched on how parenthood had already changed them, saying, “I think we’re both a little more resilient than we thought, which is cool.”

Hewitt added, “I can’t sit here and tell you that any of this is easy, but you’re so right. Continue having resilience, even when you don’t think you can. And you get through it, and then you always are stronger from it.”
