Eva Longoria Sparkles in Sergio Hudson at the Cannes Film Festival

Eva Longoria turned to Sergio Hudson for her attire at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday night in Cannes, France.

The “Flamin’ Hot” filmmaker wore a design from the couturier’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection — a sleeveless gown with a formfitting silhouette featuring allover sequins. The dress was cast in a shade chocolaty brown and featured a statement-making keyhole cutout on the bodice.

A halter neckline and fitted bodice transitioned to a liquid-style skirt with a small train that trailed Longoria. As for jewelry pieces, Longoria layered up with gold hoop earrings, bangle bracelets and rings to further augment the warm cast of her runway look. The actress has worked with stylist Maeve Reilly in the past.

Hudson’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection made its runway debut in September 2025 as part of New York Fashion Week. “It’s a dark time. I want to bring some joy and give people clothes that they really want to wear, and not just closet fillers,” the couturier said backstage at the show, per Thomas Waller’s WWD review of the collection.

“There was colorful embroidery on bustier minidresses and blouses, and corseted skirts that lace up the back, but the ease of sportswear shone through, too, with oversize peasant-sleeve blouses and bright suiting with top stitching,” Waller wrote of the highlights from the collection.

As part of the runway show, sequin designs, like Longoria’s 2026 Cannes dress, were “accented with jewelry by Sister Love the jewelry line from Simone I.”

Longoria is a longtime supporter of Hudson, wearing pieces by the designer at such events as the Time Latino Leaders Dinner in November 2023, among other occasions.

The 2026 Cannes Film Festival kicked off on May 12 and concludes on Saturday. The 79th edition of the festival will include films like “Fatherland,” starring Oscar-nominated actress Sandra Hüller, “Full Phil,” starring Kristen Stewart and filmmaker James Gray’s “Paper Tiger.” Demi Moore, Ruth Negga and filmmaker Park Chan-wook serve on the 2026 Cannes Film Festival jury.
