BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Western Idaho Fair is set to return to the Treasure Valley later this summer, bringing with it a full lineup of concerts, classic fair food, and new entertainment options for all ages.
Organizers say this year’s concert series features a mix of country, rock, and hip-hop artists. Headliners include Brantley Gilbert, Skillet, Third Eye Blind, and The Art of Rap, featuring Ice-T and Sir Mix-A-Lot, with Lee Brice closing out the run.
Tickets are already on sale, and officials encourage people to buy early, especially for premium seating. Recent upgrades to the grandstands are also expected to improve the overall concert experience, offering more comfort and better views.
“What AC Boise has done for those grandstands is brought the entire family in a place where they’re going to be able to enjoy the show,” Expo Director Helen Baker said. “They’ll be able to sit back and relax and watch a phenomenal show with their family.”
Beyond the concerts, there is no shortage of things to do across the fairgrounds, from food to live entertainment.
“Two things that we’re bringing this year is the high dive show as well as the off-axis stunt thrill show,” Baker said.
More than twenty ground acts will also be featured, including a petting zoo that gives kids a chance to get up close with animals. Visitors can also expect a wide variety of fair food favorites, including finger steaks, pronto pups, and the well-known ice cream potato.
Special promotions are also returning, including Two Dollar Tuesday and Take Your Team to Lunch Day, offering families more affordable ways to attend.
