MILWAUKEE — Another musical is joining the 2026-27 season at the Marcus Perfomring Arts Center in Milwaukee.
The theater announced it’s bringing the “Unauthorized Hallmark(ish) Parody Musical” to the stage this December. It’ll run from Dec. 26-30.
It has everything you love about a Hallmark movie, from the hopeless romanticism to the classic holiday movie feel.
The musical comes to the Badger State as part of its U.S. tour. It also follows a sold-out world premiere last December in Toronto.
At the center is a character named Holly, who is “an overworked city executive forced to return to her quirky hometown to help her mother run the family business.” When she comes home, she reunites with an old flame.
The show is packed with original pop music and “immersive holiday moments.”
Marcus’ latest addition, though not a Broadway show, comes amid its largest Broadway lineup for the 2026-27 season.
It’ll welcome 11 Broadway tours for the upcoming season, ranging from “The Sound of Music” to Buena Vista Social Club” to “Waitress.”
