Royal family sent ‘intentional message’ to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their wedding anniversary

The royal family went silent for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s anniversary.

According to journalist Rob Shuter, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t receive any well-wishes from their U.K. relatives as they marked eight years since their wedding.

“The silence was very intentional,” an insider told the reporter’s Naughty But Nice Substack.

“There was no phone call, no private message, no peace offering — absolutely nothing,” the source claimed.

On May 19, Meghan took to Instagram to share multiple never-before-seen pictures from her special day.

The mother of two also shared a clip of Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, marking the milestone with a cake.

The royals’ apparent decision to overlook the couple’s milestone comes amid ongoing tensions between Meghan and Harry and The Firm, fueled in part by the pair’s unofficial international visits.

“The Palace is livid,” a separate source told Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack. “It looks like a full-scale royal tour without the permission slip.”

Despite the ongoing feud, the Suits star and the Spare author know that fixing their relationship with the family will be difficult.

“They’re not approaching it with the expectation of a quick resolution. It’s about taking small, manageable steps and seeing where things land,” an insider told People.

“This remains very important to Harry, with Meghan supportive,” the source added.

While King Charles III is reportedly open to speaking with Harry, Prince William will be harder to win over.

“William is over all the drama,” royal biographer Robert Jobson told People. “He doesn’t need it, and he doesn’t want it. He’s too busy and focused on his own family.”
