Ranveer Singh vs Farhan Akhtar fight over Don 3 took a new turn when the producer-director complained about the actor to Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
As per FWICE, Ranveer Singh ignored multiple communications from them for a meeting and hence they decided to issue a “non-cooperative directive” which basically means none of FWICE member will work on a movie starring Ranveer Singh until the issue is resolved.

Here’s How FWICE Ban May Not Affect Ranveer Singh
According to a report in Mid-Day, more than Ranveer, the ban may have an adverse effect on “nearly 500 technicians and workers across departments including action, lighting, costumes, make-up, art direction, and spot staff.”
There are 34 vendor associations that come under FWICE which means their livelihood will also be affected if they won’t be able to work on Ranveer Singh’s upcoming mega budget zombie thriller Pralay directed by Jai Mehta and producer by Ranveer along with Hansal Mehta.
A source from the Pralay production told the website, “In the Hindi film industry, where over 70 per cent of the daily wage earners are already out of work because not many films are being made, shouldn’t the FWICE allow them to work instead of taking opportunities away with this directive?”
The source added, “As for Pralay, in the worst-case scenario, Ranveer can take the cast and crew, and shoot the movie anywhere in India. While the FWICE’s stand applies to all of its members, it cannot legally stop non-members from working. If Pralay is shot outside Mumbai, the makers may bypass the FWICE-affiliated workers by hiring local crew members belonging to other unions”.
Producers Of Ranveer Singh’s Upcoming Movies To Challenge Ban?
The report further stated that the producers of Ranveer’s upcoming movies may unite and approach Competition Commission of India (CCI).
In 2017, filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah filed a case and CCI in return stated that “issuing non-cooperation directives, preventing producers from hiring non-members, stalling shoots, and restricting the supply of services” is an anti-competitive conduct under the Competition Act.
A producer from one of Ranveer’s upcoming movies said on condition of anonymity, “If this situation escalates further, producers may collectively approach the commission for intervention.”

Ranveer Singh is all set to begin filming for Pralay from August 2026 onwards. He is also in talks with a movie on Chandragupta Maurya directed by Aditya Dhar. And may also reunite with his mentor Aditya Chopra for a YRF project.
