Prince Harry has reportedly not been invited to the wedding of his cousin Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling this weekend.
Princess Anne’s son, 48, will tie the knot with the nurse, 45, on Saturday, June 6, at a church in Gloucestershire, close to the Princess Royal’s Gatcombe Park estate.
Key members of the Royal Family are expected to attend, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are also understood to be on the guest list, while their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has also been snubbed.
Royal expert Emily Nash believes Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest grandchild intentionally left Harry, 41, off the guest list due to his loyalty to Prince William, 43.
She claimed that the Duke of Sussex has not been in contact with Peter “for the last few years”, while he and William remain “very close”.
“It sort of has been a natural cooling off and [Harry] wasn’t invited as a result,” the journalist told Page Six.
“[Peter is] very loyal; he’s very protective. He’s been a very good sounding board to his cousin (William) over the years.
“So it absolutely makes sense that I think had both Wales brothers been there, it would have put a completely different slant on the whole event.”
Nash said the Duke of Sussex’s attendance would become “the focal point” of the wedding and distract from Peter and Harriet’s big day.
“There have been enough distractions, I think, from the good things about the Royal Family over the past year,” she continued.
“Hopefully, they can just have this one day to come together and celebrate someone’s happy news for a change.”
Peter is the eldest child of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips and 19th in line to the throne.
A spokesperson announced their wedding date in April, stating it would be a “private ceremony” held at All Saints Church in the Cotswolds village of Kemble.
This is Peter’s second wedding after marrying Canadian-born Autumn Phillips in 2008.
They had two daughters, Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14, but split amicably in 2019.
Harriet has also been married before, to fitness instructor Antonio St John Sperling. The pair share one teenage daughter named Georgina.
She and Peter made their relationship public at the Badminton Horse Trials in May 2024, and their engagement was announced in August 2025.
