Charli XCX has announced that she is taking her new album, Music, Fashion, Film, on tour across North America later this year.
Last week, the singer announced her follow-up to the 2024 hit record Brat, featuring a star-studded cover of John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese.
In the original announcement, she said the album would consist of “11 songs, 30 minutes, 5 seconds”, with it being set for release on July 24th.
However, now Charli has now announced a North American tour to go along with the release of the album, which is set to kick off in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 11th.
The tour will continue for a further 11 dates, visiting places such as Brooklyn, Washington, and Los Angeles before wrapping up on October 23rd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The ‘Apple’ singer has come up with some new ways for fans to get their hands on tickets for the tour, as she is introducing an “angel tickets” scheme, where they will be able to purchase pairs of $20 tickets for random seats in the venues she is playing. More details on this will be released in August.
Moreover, a range of charity tickets will also be available for the first five rows of each venue, where 50 per cent of the profits will be donated to the Transgender Law Center. This will “help with their mission of ensuring the right of all transgender people to make their own choices and live freely, safely and authentically,” according to the press release.
Although Charli has not announced any official further dates on the Music, Fashion, Film tour anywhere else in the world thus far, she is making an appearance in the UK by headlining Reading and Leeds Festival on August 28th and 29th, before heading Stateside.
Having already released the singles ‘Rock Music’ and ‘SS26’ from the album, as well as other songs via social media but not streaming, the singer also recently opened up on getting such a star-studded album cover.
Describing the process of getting her longstanding collaborator, Aiden Zamiri, to shoot Cale, Jacobs, and Scorsese as “quite magical”, she said: “Just to have these three legends in this room being willing to come together for this album cover […] for them to trust me, it was just really cool.”
Tickets for the Music, Fashion, Film tour will go on sale from June 12th at 1pm local time, while an artist presale will begin on the same day at 9am local time.
