The day before, on Saturday, June 13, at 7.30pm, the church will host a concert by Chris Bannister, a renowned singer-songwriter known for his performances of John Denver songs.
The concert will feature hits such as Annie’s Song, Take Me Home Country Roads, and Leaving On A Jet Plane.
Tickets are priced at £15 and can be purchased online or at the door.
Doors open at 7pm, and drinks will be available during the interval.
Reverend Sue McWhinney expressed her delight at securing the performance, saying: “We are most fortunate to have been able to book both Chris and Ben; both have busy schedules, but they love performing at St Michael’s, bringing a contemporary feel to a medieval building, and opening up the space for people from all walks of life to come and enjoy great music.”
