Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are about to get married. Reports indicate their wedding will take place on July 3, and it’s set to be a big event. Maybe even Madison Square Garden as a venue big. And yet, the two have not been able to escape reports of relationship drama, particularly after Swift was seen without Kelce on back-to-back outings.
But Kelce made clear where he stands after he left the Kansas City Chiefs minicamp early to go support Swift at her Songwriters Hall of Fame induction in New York City on Thursday, June 11. The Chiefs’ TE even sat beside her mother, Andrea Swift, and his own mother, Donna Kelce, as they cheered for Swift at the event held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.

As to why Kelce wasn’t with Swift for Game 4 of the NBA Finals? Well, he does have a job, and he was required to attend the Chiefs minicamp, which ended on Thursday. Swift was accompanied by friends Este and Alana Haim. To prove his devotion, Kelce went on Instagram after the game and liked a bunch of pictures featuring Swift. We love a supportive man.
Swift also went solo during the Toy Story 5 world premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 9.

The singer is being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame alongside Walter Afanasieff, Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS, Kenny Loggins, Alanis Morissette and Christopher “Tricky” Stewart in this year’s ceremony.
Swift is the youngest-ever woman to receive the honor. Stevie Wonder holds the record as the youngest inductee ever; he was 32 at the time. And the songs Swift submitted for consideration? “All Too Well (10 Minute Version),” “Blank Space,” “Anti-Hero,” “Love Story” and “The Last Great American Dynasty.”
Any songwriter “with a catalog of notable songs qualifies for induction 20 years after their first commercial release of a song.”
This comes after reports that, despite dating for a few years at this point, Kelce still somewhat struggles with the security detail required to be around Swift. “Taylor’s life operates like a military operation,” one insider told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice.“ There are armored SUVs, armed guards, advance teams, private entrances, constant surveillance. Travis respects why it’s necessary, but it’s still shocking to him sometimes.”

Kelce has a reputation for being pretty laid-back, so it tracks. “Travis is happiest when life feels normal,” another source told Shuter. “He loves random nights out, changing plans last minute, calling friends on the fly. With Taylor, every movement has to be coordinated in advance.”
Being with Swift, however, requires adjustments. And leaving the Chiefs minicamp early proves Kelce is ready to make them. According to sources, Kelce “accepts the restrictions” because he knows Swift’s safety is the most important thing. “He hates the limitations,” one person noted. “But he loves Taylor more than he hates any of it.”
With their wedding in just a few days, it seems like this couple is as strong as they have ever been.
