On Monday afternoon, the Blue Jays completed a trade with the Kansas City Royals for Seabold, sending the 5-year MLB pitcher to Kansas City in exchange for minor leaguer Denis Samudio. Both clubs have announced the trade, and here is what CBSSports had to say about the move:
“Seabold has made 16 relief appearances between the Tigers and Blue Jays this season, collecting a 4.26 ERA and 15:7 K:BB over 19 innings. The 30-year-old is capable of providing length for a Royals bullpen that could use it.”
Connor Seabold’s MLB Career
Whenever he appears in a game for the Kansas City Royals, it will be Connor Seabold’s seventh MLB organization he’s pitched for over parts of five seasons.

Those teams include the Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, Toronto Blue Jays, and Tampa Bay Rays.
Seabold holds a career ERA of 7.30 over 138 innings.
With the Blue Jays this season, Seabold surrendered three earned runs in 3.1 innings pitched. After acquiring him from the Tigers, Toronto clearly didn’t see much in Seabold as a pitcher, and now he’s with a different MLB team.
