Savannah Chrisley has opened up about what her dad, Todd Chrisley, thinks about her new relationship and the age difference between her and her new beau.
The 28-year-old reality star spoke about the relationship on the Monday (June 15) episode of Jana Kramer’s Whine Down podcast, noting that her new boyfriend, whose identity she has not yet revealed, is much older than she is. Savannah didn’t specify the exact age gap, but said, per People, “We’re up there.”
She was also asked what her father thinks of the age gap, to which she responded, “[he’s] not too fond.” However, she said that Todd “loves” him, and she also reassured listeners that her new man is younger than her dad, who turned 57 back in April.
“Age gap relationships are the new thing. You’re going to see it everywhere,” Savannah added, per People. “There are all these couples that are huge age gap relationships, but it just works. It’s insane.”
The Chrisley Knows Best alum explained how age gap relationships work because “you’re not dealing with the insecurity of a younger guy who’s trying to keep up.” She went on to say, “It’s the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in.”
“He’s my biggest cheerleader,” Savannah told Kramer. “He’s not intimidated by my success, which is so great.”
Not much is known about Savannah’s new boyfriend, but he works in finance, and she met him through Washington, D.C.’s political circles. She previously revealed on her Unlocked podcast that they’ve been dating for a year and that she thinks he could be “the One.”
On the May 19 edition of her podcast, Savannah revealed, “I am dating someone. I am extremely happy and extremely fulfilled in life. I feel like where I am at in life is the moment that I had always dreamt of but never thought was possible.”
She added, “I am with someone who loves me, respects me. He’s my biggest cheerleader. When it comes to my business, he is helping me grow it. He’s absolutely brilliant. He is just a kind, decent man. Heck, he’s far more than decent.”
As for when she’ll reveal his identity, Savannah said she hopes to keep that private “until after I’m married.”
