Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly unsure of where they stand with the royal family.
Despite the sisters being welcomed to Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling‘s wedding, expert Duncan Larcombe doesn’t think they are totally in the clear after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s scandals.
Beatrice and Eugenie ‘nervous’ about their royal standing
Amid calls to strip Beatrice and Eugenie of their titles due to the former Duke of York and Sarah Ferguson‘s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, their roles within the family could change.

“The Epstein scandal isn’t over yet, and until it’s over, I don’t think Beatrice and Eugenie will sleep particularly well,” the journalist told The Mirror.
“I think they will probably be very nervous about what the future is, you know, what’s going to happen in the future with their father, and to a lesser extent, their mother,” Larcombe said.
Beatrice and Eugenie versus the public
While their relatives might be able to separate the siblings from Andrew and Sarah’s mess, the public isn’t as forgiving.

“I don’t personally think the public can distinguish between Andrew, the behavior of Andrew and the fact that the two of them are in many ways victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s, in that they’re victims of their parents’ relationship with Epstein,” the commentator noted.
“As the monarchy continues to streamline and evolve, the ultimate risk for the sisters remains uncertain,” Larcombe alleged.
Andrew is happy that Beatrice and Eugenie are still in the royal fold
Queen Elizabeth II‘s second son is likely thrilled his children are still in The Firm’s good graces.

“You’d like to think that Andrew was big enough and clever enough to welcome the fact that his daughters aren’t being tarred with the same brush,” Larcombe said.
“But whether he is or not, we don’t know,” he continued. “Andrew is an odd cookie, but you’d like to think he wants the best for his daughters after everything that’s happening and has happened to him.”
Sarah’s ‘relief’ about Beatrice and Eugenie
Larcombe noted that the former Duchess of York is also likely glad that Beatrice and Eugenie can still be close with their relatives.

“The same applies to Sarah Ferguson,” the reporter made clear.
“You’d hope it would come as a relief to them that their daughters are able to interact with their family in public,” he noted.
Beatrice and Eugenie were ‘brave’ for attending Peter’s wedding
Royal commentator Jennie Bond applauded Beatrice and Eugenie for making an appearance at the gathering after King Charles III stripped Andrew and Sarah of their titles and evicted them from Royal Lodge.
“I thought it was quite brave of Beatrice and Eugenie to show up knowing that the cameras would be on them,” she told The Mirror.
“They’ve had a lot of highly critical press lately and it can’t have been easy for them to face the media,” Bond continued. “But they did seem to keep quite a low profile, particularly as the bridal party left the church.”
