Jimmy Kimmel‘s sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez has been by his side for years.
Rodriguez initially starred on the ABC show as a security guard more than two decades ago.
His chemistry with Kimmel led to an on-air role as a sidekick and red carpet interviewer, where he has become beloved by fans.

Guillermo Rodriguez Is a Contestant on ‘DWTS’ Season 35
Kimmel announced during a June 2026 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! that Rodriguez would be joining DWTS season 35.
“This September, Guillermo will become the first-ever parking lot security guard to dance with the stars,” Kimmel said. “Don’t lose a single adorable pound!”
He is set to be joining confirmed cast members Ciara Miller, Maura Higgins and Jackson Olson. The full list of celebrities and pro dancers heading to the ballroom for season 35 is set to be announced at a later date. The group will also be accompanied by the winner of the DWTS spinoff, Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro, which has 12 contestants vying for a spot.

Rodriguez celebrated the ABC show’s return after it was abruptly pulled off the air for six days. (The Walt Disney Company confirmed the talk show’s comeback in September 2025 following its suspension over Kimmel’s comments about the suspect accused of fatally shooting conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.)
“We are back full of love,” Rodriguez captioned a joint Instagram post at the time, sharing a photo of himself hugging Kimmel.

Rodriguez made headlines in 2024 when he modeled Kim Kardashian‘s Skims Everyday Sculpt Bodysuit on the show.
“I love it! You look amazing!” Kardashian squealed as Guillermo twirled in the one-piece, noting that the garment felt “good” and that “everything is very tight.”
After Kimmel suggested Kardashian hire his sidekick as a model, she agreed, saying, “You want to be our Fit Model for men? I would love that. I’m not joking.”

Despite being best known as Kimmel’s sidekick, Rodriguez has garnered more than 460,000 Instagram followers. His bio fittingly reads, “Parking lot security guard on @JimmyKimmelLive.”
