Kylie Jenner and management firm Tri Star are facing a lawsuit from a chef who claims she experienced a miscarriage after being subjected to a heavy workload
In the filing, obtained by the Los Angeles Times and USA Today, the woman alleges she was not offered “adequate support” during one event when she asked for help
The filing follows two lawsuits from former housekeepers claiming mistreatment by coworkers
Kylie Jenner is facing a third workplace-related lawsuit, as a private chef alleges the workload and conditions while working events for the beauty mogul led to a miscarriage, multiple outlets reported.
In a complaint filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, June 22, and obtained by The Los Angeles Times and USA Today, the chef alleges that she was subjected to lengthy shifts and “high-pressure tasks,” despite letting her supervisors know of a high-risk pregnancy.
PEOPLE reached out to a rep for Jenner, 28, for comment, as well as an attorney for the chef.

The woman began working for Jenner in November 2024, and alleges she told supervisors that she required accommodations since she was three months pregnant.
In December 2024, she claims she experienced a medical emergency after being asked to “transport heavy food items across the street and uphill,” according to the Times and USA Today. After “choking and gasping for air” and requiring help from security, the woman was “reprimanded” for upsetting Jenner, the filing alleges.
On Feb. 1, 2025, the chef claims that she worked a birthday party for one of Jenner’s two children and was not offered “adequate support” as she was ignored by supervisors when she asked for assistance, per the Times.
“Due to exhaustion and overwhelming physical strain, [she] broke down emotionally in the bathroom during the event,” the suit reads, per the outlet. “That evening, [she] experienced extreme physical exhaustion and heaviness throughout her body as a result of the prolonged and intense workload.”

The complaint alleges that after hemorrhaging the following morning, the woman drove herself to the emergency room and was informed she lost her unborn child, according to the Times and USA Today. She claims that she later informed supervisors and was “falsely accused of leaving the kitchen and refrigerator in disarray following the Palm Springs event,” per the Times.
The complaint alleges that the next week, on Feb. 8, the woman was again hospitalized after hemorrhaging and later agreed to relocate to New York, per USA Today. Her employer claimed her “communication about her medical condition and relocation” was “a voluntary resignation despite [her] intent to remain employed,” the complaint claims, per the outlet. She alleges that she was informed on March 14, 2025, that she was “removed from the Kylie Jenner household assignment,” with March 31, 2025, marking her final day.

She later accused co-defendant and management firm Tri Star of “discrimination, harassment, retaliation, pregnancy-related mistreatment, accommodation failures and wage violations.” The complaint says that the team sent her an email offering a settlement in May 2025, as well as a release agreement, per the Times. PEOPLE has reached out to Tri Star for comment.
In a statement to the Times, the chef’s attorney Della Shaker argued that “celebrity status does not exempt anyone from California’s employment laws.”
“We look forward to presenting the evidence in court and allowing the facts to speak for themselves,” Shaker said.
Shaker also represents Angelica Vazquez, one of Jenner’s former housekeepers who filed a lawsuit against her and Tri Star Services and Maison Family Services in mid-April, as well as Juana Delgado Soto, who later filed a lawsuit claiming racial discrimination, harassment and wage violations. Neither lawsuit accuses Jenner herself of discrimination or harassment; rather, they allege that other staff subjected the two housekeepers to mistreatment in the workplace. Reps for Jenner had no comment when reached by PEOPLE at the time.
As for the chef, she is seeking damages, back pay, front pay, lost wages, lost earnings and lost employment benefits, according to USA Today. The complaint claims she suffered “severe emotional distress, anxiety, depression, humiliation, mental anguish and other damages.”
