Kleinfeld’s Director of Merchandising and their Bridal Stylist talked with The Mirror US about their predictions for the soon-to-be married couple, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
A Kleinfeld top executive and one of their bridal consultants share their prediction for what Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be wearing on their big day.
There has been much speculation and anticipation for the nuptials of the mega pop star, 34, and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34. There have been reports that the couple will be tying the knot on Friday, July 3, and in New York City, specifically Madison Square Garden. Neither Taylor or Travis have confirmed these reports.
While there has been debate about the rumored venue, it appears NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani had confirmed that the wedding will be happening in the Big Apple. Mamdani did a press conference while visiting a NYC DOT Sign Shop to assist with the Knicks victory parade preparations on June 15.
He noted at the time how he’s confident in the NYPD in delivering a safe experience with the World Cup set to happen and talked about how the city is “used to big events” like the soccer championship and how it corresponds with Taylor’s wedding happening.
For many fans of Taylor, the potential location would not be a surprise as they know her love for NYC and she moved to the city in 2014. She still owns a residence in the neighborhood of Tribeca.
As there’s been so much excitement from their fans, many are wondering what Taylor and Travis will wear at their wedding. The Kleinfeld Director of Merchandising, Dorothy Silver, and Kleinfeld Bridal Stylist, Morgan McCullough, share with The Mirror US what the duo could possibly wear, along with the bridesmaids, according to their bridal expertise.
“We feel Taylor will be going classic for her wedding but still be fashionable. When she walks down the aisle, it will be a design that is classic yet imaginative at the same time,” Dorothy began.
“I think her ceremony dress is for sure going to be a Basque waist ball gown, 100%. It may feature off-the-shoulder sleeves or be strapless. I could also see a very elaborate veil when she walks down the aisle that’s going to really complement the ball gown that she’s wearing.” Morgan added.
Morgan expressed she felt that the Love Story artist will be rocking more than one gown for her union.
“For the reception, I could see her in a sexy, short fringe dress with sparkle, possibly featuring feathers. She’ll have so many jewels on her neck and her wrist, practically drenched in diamonds. As far as the after-party dress, The Eras Tour showed us that Taylor is the master of quick changes. She’s got it down to a science! However, she also seems like the type of person who would want to be very present at her wedding, so she may not have too many outfit changes,” the bridal stylist elaborated.
She added that Taylor’s potential looks will coincide with the bridal trends in 2026 and what was seen at this year’s Bridal Fashion Week. Morgan specifically noted the trend of the Basque-waist ball gown, saying it is “one of the most requested bridal silhouettes of 2026.”
Dorothy expressed what she thought Taylor’s bridesmaids might wear. There have been reports that the singer-songwriter’s best friends like Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid are going to be a part of the bridal party.
“Taylor’s bridesmaids will likely wear the same color or color palette, but each will be a different style or silhouette, thoughtfully designed by one designer. This is the perfect time of year for light pastel colors such as dusty rose, mint greens, muted yellows and pale blue,” the director of merchandising said.
Kleinfeld is notably known as the upscale bridal boutique with its hit TV show, Say Yes to the Dress. The renowned retail shop entered into the menswear market in a partnership with Generation Tux in 2026.
Dorothy spoke on what she thought the NFL star will wear at his nuptials and the exact designer.
“Travis has a passion for fashion and will look sharp on the big day. I think he will go the more traditional route such as a classic black three-piece tuxedo with a lapel shawl collar designed by Tom Ford—the epitome of classic menswear,” Dorothy stated.
She also said that she thinks the podcaster will also have more than one wedding look.
“Travis Kelce is known for his stylish wardrobe off the field, so he will definitely have multiple wedding day looks. Travis and Taylor’s teams are likely working around the clock with designers to create their complementary wedding ensembles,” Dorothy elaborated.
