The Pretty Reckless has released the official music video for “Dear God,” the title track from the band’s newly released fifth studio album. Fronted by Taylor Momsen, the hard rock outfit continues its latest album campaign with a visually striking clip that complements the song’s emotional themes of asking God for help escaping fire.
The video arrives shortly after the release of Dear God, which debuted on June 26 via Fearless Records. The album marks the band’s first full-length release since 2021’s Death By Rock And Roll.
A Visual Companion to an Emotionally Charged Song
The newly released music video was directed by George Gallardo Kattah. Momsen said of the track, “’Dear God’ is desperation set to music. When life gets that physical, that brutal, you leave your body and start begging something bigger than yourself to pull you out. That space between heaven and hell isn’t a metaphor. It’s somewhere you actually live.”
The Pretty Reckless Continues a Strong Return
The album rollout began with the release of “When I Wake Up,” followed by “Love Me” and the title track, giving fans a preview of the diverse musical direction explored throughout Dear God.
The 14-track album also includes “For I Am Death,” “Dragonfire,” “About You,” and “Rollercoaster of Life.”
